Soon to be Released! Thought-Pieces by Paolo A. Bolaños, PhD

Thought-Pieces: Nietzschean Reflections on Anti-foundationalism, Ethics, and Politics
[Aletheia Philosophy Series]

by: Paolo A. Bolaños, PhD

Publication Date: January 2022

From the Author's Introduction:

"The essays collected in this book (...) represent my engagements with Nietzsche. I would refer to these engagements as my “thought-pieces,” that is to say, my humble philosophical struggle with particular aspects of Nietzsche’s work. Through these Nietzschean thought-pieces, I dialogue, among others, with Buddhism, G.W.F. Hegel, Gilles Deleuze, Baruch Spinoza, Plato, and Albert Camus. This collection of essays does not only feature the distillation of my dialogical struggle with the work of Nietzsche, but it also serves as a modest introduction to Nietzsche studies. While the essays may be read on their own, taken together, they constitute three relevant philosophical themes: “anti-foundationalism,” “ethics of thinking,” and “politics and social emancipation.”  In other words, the book will feature the metaphysical-epistemological, ethical, and socio-political dimensions of Nietzsche’s thought."

Aletheia Publishing is proud to bring to the global stage its brilliant authors from Visayas and Mindanao, being among thousands of publishers that showcased their titles at the recently concluded Frankfurt Book Fair held last October 20-24, 2021 in Germany.

An independent publisher based in Davao City, it joins other Filipino co-exhibitors (such as Adarna Books, Anvil Publishing, Ateneo de Manila University Press, Avenida Books, Precious Pages, and University of the Philippines Press) at the vibrant Philippine stand (see photo) made possible by NBDB (National Book Development Board, Philippines).
